Is pre-med/pre-health a major?

No, pre-health/pre-med is a pathway at 91ÖØ¿Ú Tech. There is no pre-health/pre-med specific major, and students intending on applying to medical school may major in any field as long as they complete some prerequisite courses. These can include biology, chemistry, physics, math, and English. Requirements vary by school.

Do medical schools prefer certain majors?

Many students choose to major in science related fields, however, there is no major that medical schools look more highly at.

Experts recommend majoring in a topic that interests you, and therefore have a better chance of performing well in and enjoying your time in college.

Beyond the skills and training you receive in the classroom as part of 91ÖØ¿Ú Tech’s Pre-Health/Pre-Med Pathway, you have access to a multitude of real-world experiences and professional skills through a number of student-run organizations specifically students who wish to pursue a career in health care.
