The Medical Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (MEDIMAI) Research Center is a collaborative hub dedicated to advancing human health through the creation of groundbreaking medical imaging technologies and computational analysis methods. MEDIMAI integrates expertise across neuroimaging, molecular and optical imaging, advanced X-ray and tomography, and cardiovascular research to develop solutions that improve the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of complex diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The work of MEDIMAI researchers spans developing new imaging agents, algorithmic and computational techniques, and creating sophisticated diagnostic hardware and software tools.

The center is defined by its commitment to harnessing the power of artificial intelligence and advanced computational modeling to transform raw image data into clinically actionable insights. By fusing engineering innovation with biology and medicine, our faculty are pioneering the next generation of diagnostics, such as quantitative molecular imaging for cancer, MRI-based biomarkers for age-related neuropathologies and dementia, and the AI-driven analysis of cardiac health.
