91�ؿ� Institute of Technology’s 157th Commencement will take place at University of 91�ؿ� at Chicago’s Credit Union 1 Arena, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Please check this page regularly in the coming months for information and important updates regarding Commencement.

Cap and Gown Ordering Alert

Herff Jones “Student Cap and Gown” section on will be inactive until April 6, 2026. For all late regalia orders, the last day to order is May 2 at 11:00 p.m. (CST). 

2026 Commencement Ceremonies

There will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies held on Saturday, May 16, 2026. 

The first combined ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. (CDT) for Armour College of Engineering, College of Architecture, Institute of Design, and Stuart School of Business. 

The second combined ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. (CDT) for the College of Computing and Lewis College of Science and Letters.

A separate Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, in the McCormick Auditorium in Hermann Hall on Mies Campus beginning at 10:30 a.m. (CDT).

Commencement for Chicago-Kent College of Law will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the .
